Right quarter light 335/G1452 JCB, aftermarket

Right quarter light 335/G1452 is an aftermarket part for the JCB machines. According to the product card, this part is a right quarter light.

Replacing cab glass requires care and the right materials. On bonded panes the old adhesive is removed completely, the glass and frame are primed and the pane is set in polyurethane adhesive, and the machine is not used until the adhesive has cured. On panes set in a rubber seal, the seal is checked and renewed if it has hardened. On drilled door glass, hinges and latches are fitted with plastic washers, as metal must not touch the glass directly. After a new pane is fitted, the adjustment of the wipers and door latch is checked too. Small stone chips in the windscreen are watched before they grow into cracks.

Fitting

Glass is carried only with suitable equipment and protective gloves, taking care not to knock the edges, as toughened glass can shatter completely from a blow on the edge. After fitting, the seal is checked with water, and on door glass the door is tried to make sure it opens and closes freely.
