Brake master cylinder 73067559 is an aftermarket part for the MST backhoe loaders.

Cylinders differ in piston diameter, the position and thread of the ports, the feed arrangement (separate reservoir or one on the body) and push rod length. On cylinders that look alike, even a small difference in piston diameter changes pedal travel and braking force. The cylinder is therefore chosen by part number and compared with the old one. The type of fluid in the system (brake fluid or mineral oil) matters too, as the wrong fluid swells the seals and soon ruins the cylinder. The pedal latch and the pedal return springs are checked too, as a sticking pedal will stop a new cylinder from returning fully as well.
