The tool box is a lockable box on the machine for carrying the grease gun, spanners, spare bucket teeth, pins and other tools. On backhoe loaders it is usually placed under the step or on the side of the chassis. A sound lid and lock protect the tools from theft, water and dust, while a broken lid lets water collect in the box and the tools rust. Tools inside the box are secured, as loose tools damage the lid and hinges while driving. The box's drain holes are kept clear. The lock and hinges are lubricated a few times a year so that they do not seize.

Fitting
