Washer 448/26403 is an aftermarket part for the JCB machines. According to the product card, this part is a washer.

Sealing washers (copper, aluminium or rubber-bonded) close the gap between union and housing in fuel, oil and hydraulic connections. A crushed, cracked or thinned washer lets the bolt loosen or the joint leak.

Before fitting the washer, clean the seating faces and remove burrs and old seal remains. Fit the washer the right way round and tighten the joint to the specified torque. Copper and aluminium sealing washers that have been removed are not reused; new ones are fitted.
