Pin dust seal KHV0102 is an aftermarket part for the JCB JS crawler excavators. This is a pin joint dust seal of a JS excavator.

A pin dust seal is fitted where the pin leaves the bush in boom, dipper, bucket or steering joints. Its job is to keep the grease in the bush and stop sand, mud and water getting between the pin and bush. In a joint with a torn seal, the grease is quickly pushed out and abrasive dust wears the pin and bush in a short time, leading to play and knocking.

Compatibility

According to sources, KHV-series seals are the boom and dipper pin dust seals of JCB JS crawler excavators such as the JS200 and JS220, keeping dust out of the pin and bush. According to the product card, it measures 85 x 100 x 5 mm. Other parts are in Seals and oil seals.

Fitting

Clean the seat and press the seal in with its lip facing outwards, towards the dirt. When fitting the pin, make sure the seal lip does not fold over and lightly grease the pin end. After assembly, grease the joint and check the seal again after a few hours of work.
