Front control valve seal kit 25/624000 is an aftermarket part for the JCB 3CX and 4CX backhoe loaders. According to the product card, the kit is for the front (loader) control valve.

The valve is the heart of the hydraulic system, and even the smallest speck of dirt can make a spool stick. The repair is therefore done on a clean bench, wiping parts with a lint-free cloth and capping open passages. Changing the hydraulic filter after the repair catches any dirt that may have entered the system while it was apart.

Fitting

Before the repair, lower the attachments, stop the engine and work the levers to release the pressure. Clean the valve outside and note the order and orientation of the parts as you strip it. Fit the new seals wetted with clean hydraulic oil, slide the spools into the body without force and tighten the cover bolts to the specified torque. After assembly, try all functions and check for leaks. After the repair, move the levers fully in every direction a few times to purge air and check that the spools return to neutral by themselves.
