RUSTECH Kettenoel chain oil, 1 l is an aftermarket product for the construction machines. Kettenöl is German for chain oil. Pack: bottle.

Chain oil is used to lubricate the saw chain and the groove in the guide bar on chainsaws and similar tools. It contains tackiness additives so that it is not flung off the chain at high speed, and it reduces friction, heat and wear on the chain and bar. Too little lubrication makes the chain stretch quickly, wears the bar and lowers cutting performance. Engine oil or used oil is not used in place of chain oil, as it is thrown off and fouls the pump and passages. The chain oil tank is filled at every refuelling.
