The Parker VP1 series are load-sensing variable displacement axial piston pumps that mount on a truck's power take-off (PTO). The pump delivers only the flow the hydraulic system needs: the signal in the load-sensing line adjusts the swashplate angle and matches flow to the demand of the function. When no function is working, the pump only holds standby pressure, which cuts fuel use and oil heating. The 075 in the model code stands for a maximum displacement of about 75 cm³/rev. According to seller data, VP1 pumps give an outlet pressure of up to 300 bar. The pump is used on truck cranes and similar truck equipment and works together with a load-sensing control valve. The pump's regulator settings are made at the factory and should only be changed by a specialist hydraulic workshop. Before the first start, fill the pump case with clean oil through the drain port and connect the drain line straight to tank. The pump is heavy and must be supported when fitting it to the PTO.
