Pump coupling rubber element 4 is an aftermarket part for the construction machinery with hydraulic pumps.
The rubber coupling element is the flexible ring that transmits torque from the flange on the engine flywheel to the hydraulic pump hub. Steel bushes bonded between rubber segments are bolted alternately to the flywheel and to the pump hub. The rubber damps the torsional vibration of the diesel engine and protects the pump from shock loads. Ageing rubber cracks, separates from the bushes or swells with oil; a worn element knocks and eventually tears. Keep the rubber element away from oil and fuel leaks, as oil makes the rubber swell and soften.

Compatibility
According to the product card, this is a size 4 rubber pump coupling element, chosen by the number of bolt holes and their pitch circle diameter. Other parts are in Hydraulic pumps.
Fitting
For the change, separate the pump from the engine and check the hubs on the flywheel and pump shaft and the bolt holes. Fit the element, tighten the bolts with thread locker to the specified torque, and keep the misalignment between pump and engine within the maker's limits. After assembly, run the engine at idle and check for knocking and vibration. Always inspect the coupling element whenever the pump is separated from the engine.
