Main hydraulic pump with PTO 401-00161A is an aftermarket part for the Doosan Solar 130W-V, 140W-V and 160W-V wheeled excavators.

The Kawasaki K5V series, a development of the K3V, are variable displacement tandem axial piston pumps. The PTO in the model code means the pump has an extra power take-off, from which another pump such as a steering pump can be driven. According to sources, this pump is the main pump of Doosan Solar 130W-V, 140W-V and 160W-V wheeled excavators and is of the K5V80DTP type. On a wheeled excavator the main pump feeds digging, slewing and travel. Check the regulator settings and pilot pressure before replacing the pump. The aftermarket pump matches the connection dimensions and displacement of the original. The pump is chosen by part number and model code, and its regulator type, rotation and flange are compared with the old pump. Keep the ports capped until fitting.

Fitting

Before changing a pump or motor, drain and clean the hydraulic tank and renew the suction strainer and filters. Label and remove the hoses and cap the ports. Fit the new unit with the shaft and coupling cleaned and the splines greased as appropriate, renew the flange seals and tighten the bolts evenly to the specified torque. Before the first start, fill the unit case with clean oil; run the engine at idle to bleed the system and then check the pressures with a gauge.
