Fuel injector 17/920200 is an OEM part for the JCB machines.

The injector sprays high-pressure fuel into the combustion chamber as a fine mist. The spray shape, timing and quantity decide the quality of combustion: a sound injector gives smooth running, low smoke and economy. In common rail injectors, injection is controlled by a solenoid valve commanded by the engine control unit, and several injections can be made per cycle. Signs of a faulty injector are a shaking engine, black or white smoke, loss of power, high fuel use and knocking in one cylinder. A dribbling injector can eventually damage the piston and valves too. An injector fault often shows in one cylinder: the engine shakes at idle and that cylinder's exhaust runner is cooler or hotter than the others. A cylinder balance test with a service tool easily finds the faulty injector. Keep the injector well and connections clean. The code on the injector body must stay legible.

Fitting

Before removing the injector, clean around it, disconnect the fuel lines and connector and cap the open connections. Always remove the old copper washer from the well. Fit the new injector with a new washer and O-rings and tighten the clamp and the high-pressure line nut to the specified torque, connecting the high-pressure pipes without strain. After assembly, bleed the fuel system, run the engine and check for leaks, smooth idle and smoke; on electronic systems, enter the injector code.
