Fuel filter 60310823 is an aftermarket part for the SANY excavators.

Genuine and good-quality fuel filters use special filter paper that also partly separates water from the fuel. The structure of the paper decides its dirt-holding capacity and resistance to flow, and a cheap filter either clogs quickly or lets particles through. During the change, check the O-rings and bleed screw on the filter head too, since a worn O-ring causes air leaks and hard starting. The filter comes new and is kept in its packaging. If the filter has a water drain tap, check that it is closed before fitting.

Fitting

Do not pre-fill the fuel filter, since fuel poured in from outside can reach the clean side. Record the date and engine hours in the service log, and collect the old filter and spilled fuel without harming the environment. Clean hands and tools matter when changing a fuel filter, since dirt on the filter head can reach the clean side of the new filter. Do not overtighten the bleed screw on the filter head.
