Inlet manifold gasket 02/802514 is an aftermarket part for the JCB machines.

A gasket seals the joint between two parts. When a removed part goes back on, the old gasket is not reused: it has been compressed, lost its elasticity and will leak. Traces of oil, coolant or exhaust at the joint, drips or a whistle show the gasket needs replacing. Check the condition of the fixing bolts along with the gasket. A gasket seals by filling the small irregularities of the mating faces; scratches and distortion make its job harder. Its material is chosen for the joint temperature and the fluid it seals.

Fitting

Use sealant only where the service manual calls for it; excess sealant can block passages. On hot joints, recheck the bolts after the engine has warmed up.
