Cylinder liner 3135X062 Perkins AK, aftermarket

Cylinder liner 3135X062 is an aftermarket part for the Perkins 1000 series (AK) engine. The card also lists 3135X063, 02/201141, 903-032, D14020870. The aftermarket product code is 3135X063.

A dry liner is in direct contact with the block and passes heat to it, so a good fit matters for cooling. Wear usually shows as a ridge at the top of the liner where the rings turn round. Once a ridge has formed, new rings and pistons will not last long in the old liner. When a liner is replaced, the piston and rings are renewed too; an old piston will not bed in properly in a new liner.

Fitting
