Crankshaft thrust washers 02/192083 is an aftermarket part for the Perkins 1000 series (AK) engine. The card also lists 31137311, T427336, U5TW0002, 10000-93254, 032-9090. The photo shows two half-ring washers.

Thrust washers limit the crankshaft's end float and sit on each side of one main bearing housing. Clutch and torque converter loads push the shaft along its axis; as the washers wear, end float grows and the thrust faces of shaft and block can be damaged. Excess float shows as fore-and-aft movement of the crank pulley and a knock from the front of the engine. The photo shows a half-ring washer. The washers have a steel back with an anti-friction lining; when the lining wears, the steel shows through. Excess end float can also show as the crankshaft moving forward when the clutch pedal is pressed. It is measured with a dial gauge while levering the shaft back and forth. The end float limit is given in the service manual; when it is exceeded, the washers are replaced. The engine uses two upper and two lower washers.
