Oil cooler housing (empty) 320/04383 is an aftermarket part for the JCB JS crawler excavators. According to the product card, the housing comes empty (without the cooler plate).

The oil cooler assembly is a cast aluminium cover with a plate-type cooler inside, bolted to the side of the block. Oil flows inside the cooler and coolant around it to exchange heat; the assembly also carries the oil filter mounting. An internal leak mixes oil and coolant, and a cracked body leaks outwards. Because the oil filter mounts on the assembly, it is easy to check it for leaks at each filter change. The assembly is cast aluminium and brings the oil and coolant passages together in one body. The assembly bolts to the side of the block. The assembly is supplied new, with its gaskets chosen by part number. The assembly is a casting. The assembly is heavy.
