Transmission solenoid valve 149785 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with Carraro axles.

According to sources, this solenoid is used in the Powershift transmissions of JCB backhoe loaders and Loadall machines, and the numbers 25/220804 and 459/M2874 refer to the same part. The solenoid comes as a unit of cartridge and coil. Lock the coil connector once it is plugged into the harness, and keep the wire away from hot gearbox surfaces. Do not remove the solenoid with hot oil, since hot oil under pressure can burn. Catch the oil that runs out during removal in a container and top up the level afterwards. The screen on the cartridge tip, where fitted, must be clean, since a blocked screen restricts oil to the clutch.

Fitting

Before the change, switch off the ignition and disconnect the battery negative if needed. Remove the connector by pressing its latch, never by pulling the wires. After fitting the new part, push the clean, dry connector fully home and check that the latch has clicked into place. After reconnecting the battery, check the function and the instrument panel.
