Stud 106199 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with Carraro axles.

A stud is a fastener threaded at both ends that fixes a part of an axle or planetary hub to its housing, while wheel studs hold the wheel rim to the hub. Studs are made of high-tensile steel and work under changing loads. A stud run with a loose nut stretches or breaks, and broken wheel studs can let the wheel loosen and cause a serious accident.

Fitting

Replace the stud with one of the same part number. Clean the thread in the housing and screw the stud in to the correct depth, or press wheel studs into the hub. Tighten the nuts to the specified torque in a cross pattern and recheck after the first hours of work, renewing any damaged nuts too.
