Retaining lock 129118 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with Carraro axles.

This part is a retainer that locks a nut, pin or shaft in an axle or transmission against turning and loosening, and it may be a lock plate, retaining clip or locking tab. If the retainer is missing or distorted, nuts loosen with vibration, pins shift and the bearing adjustment is lost.

Compatibility

Fitting

Retainers are usually renewed after removal, and a lock plate that has been bent and straightened is not reused. On assembly, fit the retainer so it bears fully on the nut or pin it locks and bend any tabs into their slot. Compare the shape and hole layout of the old retainer with the new one before fitting.
