Oil seal 145050 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with Carraro axles.

An oil seal seals the point where a rotating shaft leaves an axle or transmission housing: its lip is pressed onto the shaft by a garter spring, keeping oil in and dust and water out. Seals at hubs, pinions, axle shafts and gearbox shafts harden or wear over time, and a leak can lower the oil level, contaminate the brake discs or leave the gears without lubrication.

Compatibility

According to the product card, Carraro 145050 is an oil seal; cross numbers: 6193363M1, 85825034, VOE11709302, CA0145050. Fit is confirmed by the axle or transmission type. It measures 65 x 92 x 10/15 mm. Other parts are in Carraro.

Fitting

Clean the bore, lubricate the seal's outer surface and lip with clean oil and drive it squarely into place with a mandrel of suitable diameter, since a cocked seal leaks from the first run. Watch the direction: the spring-loaded lip faces the oil. After assembly, check the oil level and look for leaks after the first hours of work.
