O-ring 28111 Carraro, aftermarket

O-ring 28111 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with Carraro axles.

An O-ring seals a round joint between two parts in a transmission or axle: it sits in a groove and is squeezed on assembly, stopping oil or pressurised fluid escaping. O-rings in clutch packs, valve bodies and covers harden, flatten or get cut over time, so pressure drops, clutches slip or oil leaks outside.

According to the product card, Carraro 28111 is an O-ring; cross numbers: 85808278, 3523972M1. Fit is confirmed by the axle or transmission type. Other parts are in Carraro.

Fitting

The ring must match the old one in inside diameter, section and material, since a ring of another material may not withstand the transmission oil or temperature. On assembly, clean the groove, wet the ring with clean oil and seat it without twisting, taking care not to cut it on sharp edges. Never reuse O-rings removed during dismantling.
