Needle roller 117874 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with Carraro axles.

Needle rollers are thin cylindrical rollers on which the planet gears of a planetary hub turn on their pins. Each planet gear has a set of rollers packed between the pin and the gear bore, spreading the load over a large surface. When the rollers wear, the gear gains play on its pin, the mesh is upset and the planetary hub starts to whine, and a broken roller damages the gear and pin as well.

Compatibility

According to the product card, Carraro 117874 is a needle roller; cross numbers: 81869665. Fit is confirmed by the axle or transmission type. Other parts are in Carraro.

Fitting

Replace the rollers as a complete set for each gear, never mixing old and new ones. On assembly, pack the rollers into the gear bore with grease and check the pin and thrust washers, since a worn pin shortens the life of new rollers. Fill the planetary hub with the specified oil after assembly.
