Hub housing 4475.307.037 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with ZF axles. This part is the wheel hub housing.

The wheel hub is the body to which the wheel is bolted by studs and which carries the hub bearings; it works with the planetary gearbox and passes the wheel load to the axle end. A hub with worn bearing seats or elongated or cracked stud holes causes wheel play, oil leaks and loose wheel nuts. Because the hub carries the wheel load, cracks are looked for especially around the stud holes.

Compatibility

According to the product card, ZF 4475.307.037 is a hub housing; cross numbers: S06/42816. Fit is confirmed by the axle or transmission type. Other parts are in Carraro.

Fitting

For the change, remove the wheel and planetary gearbox and drain the oil. Press the bearing cups into the new hub, fit the seals and install the hub, setting the bearing preload to the service manual. Fit the studs, reassemble and fill the planetary and tighten the wheel nuts to the specified torque. The hub comes new; before fitting, clean and check the bearing seats, seal faces and stud holes. Parts moved over from the old hub (studs, covers) are renewed if damaged. After the wheel is fitted, tighten the nuts in a cross pattern to the specified torque and recheck them after the first hours of work.
