For the Hidromek backhoe loaders: brake friction disc S06/42934, an aftermarket part. This is the friction-lined disc of the wet disc brake.

Friction plates are chosen by part number according to diameter, spline count and thickness and are replaced as a set on one side of the axle. When changing them, check the steel counter plates, brake piston seals and back-off parts too. Soak the plates in clean axle oil before fitting. Plate thickness is measured with a caliper and compared with the service limit.

Compatibility

Fitting

The plates are stacked in their original order with the brake housing open, taking care not to mix up the friction and steel plates. Renew the housing gasket, fill the axle with the specified oil and test and bed in the brakes at low speed. The plates come new; check the number of plates in the set for each side of the axle against the service manual. Keep the friction surfaces free of anything but oil and do not handle them with dirty hands. If the brake piston seals leak, the plates can be contaminated with brake fluid, so the piston seals are checked too.
