Adjusting shim 132274 is an aftermarket part for the backhoe loaders with Carraro axles.

An adjusting shim is a steel washer of a set thickness (3.4 mm for this part) used to fine-tune bearing preload, gear backlash or the axial position of parts in an axle or transmission. In differential and pinion settings, a shim of the correct thickness gives the right mesh between crown wheel and pinion. The wrong thickness leads to gear noise, hot bearings and early wear.
