For the Caterpillar backhoe loaders: 428E/432E/434E left side window, an aftermarket part. The glass is toughened (tempered). According to the product card, this is the one-piece glass version. The pane has 2 holes.

Glass varies by machine model, cab type and year: even on one model, the glass for old and new cabs is not interchangeable. The pane is chosen by position (windscreen, lower front, upper or lower door, side, rear, quarter light), dimensions, number and position of holes, silk-screen (black edge print) and glass type (toughened or laminated). Before ordering, the dimensions and hole pattern of the old pane are compared, as the hinge and latch holes must match to the millimetre. Clean cab glass is essential for safe work, especially when digging and lifting loads. Abrasive cleaners are not used on the glass, so as not to scratch the surface.

The card gives no original part number. Fit is confirmed by the dimensions and hole pattern of the old pane and the machine model. Other parts are in Cab glass.

Fitting

Glass is carried only with suitable equipment and protective gloves, taking care not to knock the edges, as toughened glass can shatter completely from a blow on the edge. After fitting, the seal is checked with water, and on door glass the door is tried to make sure it opens and closes freely.
