Bush 802/01531 Hidromek, aftermarket

Bushes differ in inside and outside diameter, length, material (hardened steel, bronze or brass) and the shape of the grease passage, and each joint has its own part number. Split bushes close up slightly as they are fitted into the eye, which makes them easier to change. Repair-size bushes are made with a larger outside diameter for worn and re-bored eyes. The bush is chosen by part number to suit the pin diameter and eye size. The two bushes in one joint are usually replaced together.

Fitting

Remove the old bush with a puller or press, clean the eye and remove any burrs. Lightly oil the new bush and press it in square to the axis, then fit the pin and grease the joint.
