Brake fluid reservoir 126/00200 is a genuine JCB part for the JCB machines.

The brake fluid reservoir holds the fluid that feeds the brake master cylinders. As the brake discs wear, the pistons work further out and the volume of fluid in the system grows, and the reservoir makes up the difference. It is made of clear or translucent plastic with minimum and maximum marks, so the level can be checked without opening the cap. Over time the plastic hardens in sun and heat, cracks or starts to leak at the outlets, and the level is hard to see through a yellowed body. If the reservoir body is cracked or leaking, it is replaced rather than glued; although the reservoir is not under pressure, losing fluid from it lets air into the system. The mounting bracket and rubber mounts are checked too, as vibration gradually cracks the thin plastic body.

Fitting
