Carriage hose sleeve 332/D9619 JCB, aftermarket

For the JCB machines: carriage hose sleeve 332/D9619, an aftermarket part. According to the product card, this is the wide type of protective sleeve.

Guards are chosen by part number for the machine model and side; some are supplied as a set with fixings. When fitting, make sure the guard does not touch the part it protects and does not rattle under vibration. A bent guard is not straightened, as the metal fatigues and breaks at the next knock; it is replaced with a new one. The fixing bolts of guards can loosen under vibration; a loose guard rattles and eventually breaks off, so the bolts are checked during service. Rear lamp guards are designed to be removed and refitted when lamp lenses and bulbs are changed.

Fitting

Before fitting, clean the mounting points and check the bolt holes and brackets. Put the new part in place of the old one, start the bolts by hand and tighten them once the part is aligned. Use new rubber mounts and washers where fitted, and after fitting check that the part does not touch any moving parts.
